StillLife Drawing

Charcoal                September 2015

Artist Statement: Working with charcoal, I replicated the still life set up in the art studio using two sitting easal and a chair. The first gesture drawing was done light to allow show the ruff placement of the three objects in relation to each other. After the general outlines were done they need to be adjusted  to show the dimensions and scaled to size. While doing  the adjustments I look for lines of similar size in all the object to bring them to scale and points of similar hight on the paper and used lightly drawn grid lines to keep them on same plane. Once the adjustments were done I darkened the final lines but my unsteady  hand caused the lines to wave or slant in some places.
